In the historical centre of Montevarchi, there is a bulwark that has resisted the ravages of time and war. It is the Cassero, a splendid medieval castle that served as a watchtower and as a junction of the particular city walls.

This building, now finely restored and turned into a museum, collects some of the most important names of Italian sculpture between the nineteenth and twentieth century, proposing itself as an artistic medium between ancient and modern history. Inspired by this city treasure, the Bonci Brothers offer a cake rich in preciousness.

A delicacy made of dried fruit, chocolate drops, scented with Tuscan spices, fresh butter and enriched with a delicious coating of dark chocolate and whole pistachios.

Pan Del Cassero Chocolate and Pistachio Bonci 500g

Ingredients:
Soft wheat flour, sugar, butter, dark chocolate chips 20% min. (cocoa mass 48%, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier: soya lecithin), whole pasteurized eggs, candied orange cubes, hazelnut grains, figs, pistachio nuts, whole pistachios, marsala, salt, spice mixture, natural flavor: vanilla. Wetted on the surface after cooking with alcoholic syrup (alc 15% vol.) based on glucose, fructose and rum Outer cover: dark chocolate 18% (cocoa mass 60% min., sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier: soy lecithin). Leavening agent: diphosphates, sodium carbonates.

In the same laboratory are processed and used: almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, sesame, peanuts, milk powder, milk protein, soy lecithin. Product without preservatives and colorants. Baked confectionery product leavened with dark chocolate and pistachios.

About the Producer, Pasticceria Bonci :

In 1953 Giuseppe and Gino, sons of the land, decided to become “shop boys” and opened the first nucleus of the Bonci company, first bakery, then pastry shop, which in almost seventy years has carried on confectionery traditions and productive innovation.

Panbriacone is the undisputed king of their production. In addition to the leavened products, as well as classic panettone, logs and doves, we can find traditional cakes and pastries with cantucci. Remaining faithful to the confectionery tradition, today the company has developed new products and new techniques, also dedicating itself to chocolate, collaborating with the master Michele Mezzasoma.
