The Ciliegiolo grape takes its name from the color and the characteristic aroma that recalls the cherry. The Ciliegiolo grape was mainly used in cutting with wines with little alcohol and sourness. it brought, in fact, alcoholic gradation, softness and a fresh aroma of cherry, giving products of good resistance to aging. Ciliegiolo is a very ductile vine: if vinified in white or with a short maceration it can give fresh and fragrant rose wines. also lends itself well to withering.
