About the Producer, Mulini Di Segalari :
The land, about 4 hectares, was purchased in 2002 by consolidating several farms. The company was created with the recovery of fields not cultivated for some time. The fields are contiguous to a stream, which borders the farm on one side. On the site there were three ancient mills, which originally were the mills of the possessions of the Castle of Segalari. The vineyard, DOC Bolgheri, of 2.5 hectares, is located on the first coastal hills, at an altitude of 90-120 meters above sea level, with exposure of the south-west lands. It is an uncontaminated place, wild and characterized by the presence of woods and by the dynamic force of the watercourse, which flows along the farm. The rows follow the natural course of the slope of the land, optimizing the illumination of the sun. The vines enjoy a warm and ventilated temperate climate with great excursion between day and night, which favors the cultivation and development of the aromas in the wine. The cultivated vines present in the plots are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, Syrah and Vermentino.
