Siloe – Ancient Wheat Penne triticum turanicum
Triticum Turanicum grain-only wheat germ, ground grain, handmade, bronze-drawn, and slowly dried at a low temperature for twenty-four hours. Triticum Turanicum grain is an ancient wheat from the regions of ‘ancient Mesopotamia. Given today’s tough grain progeny, it is one of the oldest grains cultivated by humans. Today the monks of the Siloe Monastery are retrieving this ancient variety of grain cultivating in their lands. Triticum Turanicum hard grain is distinguished by the other ears of grapes, high above one meter and sixty. It is a grain rich in mineral salts and high protein content that has not undergone the alterations of the genetic manipulation techniques of modern agriculture. Its properties make the pasta extremely nutritious and highly digestible, with intense scent and strong flavor. The special bronze drawing gives it a rough surface that is particularly suitable for retaining condiments.
Pasta From Tuscany
Triticum Turanicum wheat can be considered to be an antique wheat because it has not been contaminated by artificial modification processes like (x-rays, gamma, alpha and beta) compared to the currently available varieties, but comes from a very traditional selection genealogy that ensures a lesser predisposition to allergies and intolerances, as well as absence of forced mutations.
